Films In Peel Screen TT:Closer To The Edge

FILMS IN PEEL is screening the blu-ray version (not 3D) of TT: Closer to the edge (cert 15) at 7:45pm on Wednesday 8th February at the Centenary Centre. This 2011 Manx documentary has been hugely successful. It officially broke the £1m mark at the UK box office only a month after its release in April 2011 and 300,000 DVD copies are expected to sell. This is a great opportunity to see it on the big screen without having to wear silly glasses!

TT: Closer to the edge was filmed during the 2010 TT, directed by top commercials director Richard De Aragues and produced by Isle of Man Film and CinemaNX. The story goes some way to explaining what makes the top riders tick and focuses on Guy Martin as he prepares to race. Little were the production team to know that 2010 was not going to be a good year for Guy, crashing in Glen Vine on his 3rd lap. It is a thrilling film that will make your veins pulse. It is powerful in its portrayal of how close to the edge these riders push themselves and how enthralling they are to watch. Steve Christian, chairman of CinemaNX, will introduce the film.
Tickets are on sale now at Celtic Gold in Peel or will be available on the door if it is not sold out. A limited number of reservation tickets are available at Mostly Manx (Douglas), Shakti Man (Ramsey) and Thompson Travel (Port Erin). Doors open at 7:15pm, film starts at 7:45pm and runtime is 104 mins. Refreshments are available before the film.
