The winner of the seventh Peel Online photography competition is John Bennett who took this image of a sunrise over Peel harbour. Judging was by Thelma Birkett, from the Peel Town Commissioners. All entries were taken over the past 12 months.
| Ms Birkett said judging was extremely difficult due to the high number of excellent photos. Second place was awarded to Mark Nelson who captured the Commissioners' firework display on 5 November 2011. |
Peter McEvoy's monochrome view of Stanley Road was awarded third prize in the 2011 competition. A spokesman from the commissioners said: "Thanks to all entrants who continue to help us show the rest of the world what a beautiful place Peel is to live. Entries are now open for the 2012 competition." | |
